Capturing images of world-famous musicians for almost two decades, Athenian Jason Thrasher’s photography is almost as iconic as his subjects. Capturing rare stage moments as well as intimate private shots, Jason’s art includes portraits of the Drive-By Truckers, of Montreal, R.E.M., the Elephant 6 Collective and images of OutKast at Stankonia and Rico Wade at his infamous hip-hop "Dungeon" in Atlanta. On-tour images include Ty Segall, The Whigs, Widespread Panic, Cracker, Drive-By Truckers and Against Me! to name a few. Thrasher's photography has been published nationally in Rolling Stone, Billboard, New York Magazine, New York Times, The Bitter Southerner, SPIN and many more. His work is also featured in the album designs of the Drive-By Truckers, Patterson Hood, Booker T., Randall Bramblett, Cracker, David Lowery, Macha and Bad Religion. Additionally, his fine art photography has been exhibited from coast-to-coast in America as well as in London, England. The featured piece Don Chambers at Georgia Theatre captures the devastation after the 2009 fire that nearly destroyed the Athens treasure. "Jason's photograph of Don Chambers has become the iconic image of our struggle here at the Theatre. I don't really have to explain how bad the fire was.
