Feeling Peckish by Rachel Burnham AKA Moosh - 48 piece jigsaw puzzle
Athens, Ga born and raised Rachel Burnham, AKA Mosh-ya Brady, AKA Moosh, the daughter of 2 artists and retired art teachers, has been making all types of art since she can remember. Burnham attended UGA through 2011 and received a BFA in scientific illustration - explaining her fascination with fine, excruciating detail. After returning to UGA in 2013 for another BFA, this time in Art Education, Burnham has since been teaching art to elementary school students for the past 7 years.
Moosh works on instinct - drawing and painting what she likes because it feels good. Maintaining her artwork rarely has meaning to it, good art makes the viewer react in some way, positive or negative. Through a love of kitsch and all things miniature, Moosh hopes her art will bring smiles to the faces of the people who see it.
“Focusing on the microscopic details of my sculptures helps me tune out the stress and worries of the day. When I'm not art-ing, I enjoy roller skating, The Simpsons, and Pro Wrestling - all of which appear in my artwork. I live with my husband and dogs in Athens, Ga.”
